Description
Stimulated by a conversation had several days ago with my friend @Markotxe I have renewed some older works trying to improve their quality by applying more modern and improved software. Such an example is given here of a work that is addressing the dead space (negative space), the space that is around the subject and that is known as strongly impacting the photo itself. I dedicate this remastering to Marc Viteau (@Markotxe), with whom I have many exchange of views about photography and who's ART I appreciate and enjoy of.
i just read what you wrote about modern and improved software - isn´t it amazing, how things keep evolving?
i´m a hobby musician and a home recording artist since the late 70s - back then i worked with tape decks and cassette recorders and i haven´t forgotten about the terrible obstacles i had to struggle with, about the dissatisfying results and fails that i so often had - for me the dawning of the digital era brought heaven on earth! during the recent years i realized, that softwear instruments are extremely cheap nowadays and i managed to achieve some new gear, plus there is a lot of cool stuff for free!
my finest example is the free ochestra plug-in that the bbc gave out some years ago - it is meant for the support of young composers so they can check their compositions before they encounter the work with a real orchestra - for me as a humble nobody, it´s just an unbelievably generous offer to have the sound of the bbc orchestra at hand in my garage, haha...
i have so many more possibilities now, it´s so much easier to achieve the sound i want and i have a much, much higher rate of success in my recordings...
in case you want to hear my last cd, it´s the first i uploaded to the net and it can be found here
the same goes for photogrphy of course: my gallery is full of mirrored, kind of kaleidoscopic images - i tried that before with analog photos = laborous work, clumsy results - with digital means, easy to be done and a quite exciting adventure at times, haha...
hey rikitza, i like your work and your works - keep going!
